  1. Mail out your resume to as many schools as you are interested in or as many as you can over the summer before and the fall of your senior year.  Remember the more contacts you make the better your chances are.

  2. Don't limit yourself to one level or division.  Contact Division III and NAIA and NJCAA schools.

  3. Have game tape available to send to coaches.  Ask them to return them.  You can send them out again.

  4. Have your parents fill out a FAFSA Form as soon as they can.  This is a must to receive a financial package from a school.  See below on more information about the FAFSA.

Don't get discouraged when some coaches don't reply and don't get to excited by chain letters.

Remember its never to late to start.  There are many opportunities that go unused each year.  Primarily at the NCAA Division III, NAIA and Junior College levels.

FAFSA Form

The FAFSA is available in any high school, college or university. You can also fill out the form and submit it on their website at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.  There is free software that allow you to apply for federal student aid from your home computer and send it electronically at http://www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/Students/apply/fexpress.html.

Fill out the FAFSA form as soon as possible.  Financial Aid is given on a first come first serve basis.

Be realistic when choosing your levels.  If NCAA Division I Coaches are not calling you, your probably not going to play at that level.
